Articles of Evergreen Table Tennis Club

2. The Chairman: Dependent of the level of contribution, any member is eligible to be elected as the Chairman by proposing and voting. The minimum terms of the Chairman is one year, however, it may be extended indefinitely with the approval of the majority of the members.
3. The Chairman is authorized to appoint members for the following commissions:
a. Executive Secretary: responsible for the data management of the Club, drafting tournament programs, proposing handicap system, collecting and analyzing tournament results, providing information to the member and editing the WebPages of the Club. In the meantime, he will also assist the Chairman to handle all matter relating to the Club, and to help in the examination of the qualification of new members’ applications for the approval of the Chairman.
b. Financial Controller: responsible for the collection of members’ contribution and the management of funds of the Club. As a key interface for organizing all internal and external activities, he is responsible for convening the members dinner conference and external competition, etc.
c. General Affairs Controller: to assist the Chairman to oversee all matters relating to the tournament, financial and other relevant activities.
d. Venue Superintendent: responsible for all matter relating to the reservation of venue for the tournament.

Date and venue of the league
tournament: Unless specifically advised by the Chairman, the tournament
will take place in Wongnaichung Sports Centre,
5. Punctuality: All members are requested to arrive at the tournament venue at 07:00hr as far as possible. If not, members must arrive at the venue before 07:30hr to avoid disruption to the tournament.
6. Lateness or absence: Should a member be late or absent in participating the tournament due to other engagements, he must advise any one of members pertaining to the incident at least eight hours in advance. Failing which, he is mandated to buy breakfast for all other members present as a gesture of apology. Besides, the Chairman may demand extra contribution from the offender as punishment. Constant offenders may be expelled from the Club and deprived of all relevant entitlements.
7. Mode of tournament: Commencing from the 15th Round, all members agree to adopt the universal 11-points doubles system. The team winning three games out of five will be the winner of the match. Other conditions shall follow the ITTF regulations.
8. Arbitration: If there is any dispute during the match, both parties shall endeavor to resolve through negotiation under the spirit of “friendship first”. If no resolution is achieved, the Chairman shall be the final arbitrator without further dispute. If the member involved in the dispute happens to be the Chairman or when he is absent, the General Affairs Controller shall be the arbitrator, followed by Financial Controller, Venue Superintendent and Executive Secretary respectively.
9. Contribution: At the end of the match, each member of the lost team shall contribute HK$15 to the Club fund to cover the expenses of rental, TT balls and other necessities as well as other expenses incurred by the Club.
10. Award: At the end of the tournament, the team with the highest winning will become the Champion and will be awarded the Evergreen Cup (hereinafter referred as: “the Cup”) as a means of encouragement. The Champion shall possess the Cup till a new Champion is born in the following tournament.
11.Practicing fees: The Club welcomes members who do not participate in the tournament to come and watch the matches. When approved by the Chairman, such members may be entitled to use the table and practice with other members by paying a small fee of HK$100 per month. Members involved in the tournament need not pay this fee. The tournament takes the priority in using the table.
12.Time-out: During the match, both parties must observe the competition etiquette and behave like gentlemen; they must not agitate or insult the other party, directly or indirectly. The player must also adopt a forgiving and understanding attitude if the partner does not perform well. He should not complain against or blame his partner, or offer coaching on the spot; as such behavior will adversely affect the emotion of the other party as well as his own partner, and may drag the pace of the match. If necessary, either party may request a time-out period of not more than two minutes each match to review tactics or to take a break.
13.The spirit of Sportsmanship: Regardless of the match results, all players must bear in mind: “friendship first”. The winners should not behave arrogantly and the losers should not feel disheartened. The losing member must not lose his temper which may cause embarrassment to the other members.
14.Match requirements: Based on the Results Analysis Table, the match shall start with teams with least played matches. No excuses will be accepted for not playing. All members must attempt to complete at least 5 matches per day with different partners if possible.
15.Logging match results: At the completion of each match, the winning party shall be responsible for logging the results. Both the winning and losing party shall sign the log sheet to indicate agreement to the match results. No request of amendment will be entertained afterwards.
16.Posting of match result on internet: All match results will be updated and posted on the Club’s website before Tuesday. The members are requested to review the updated data and to advise the Executive Secretary by email or telephone of any omission and errors for prompt correction.
長青乒乓球社章程
(2003年4月27日起實施,2008年9月13日重修訂)
01、 宗旨:本社成立之目的為通過乒乓球運動促進各社友之健康及社友間之友誼。
02、
會長:根據任何一位社友為本社作出之貢獻,經大多數社友推舉選出會長以領導本社之有關工作。會長之任期最少一年,如大多數社友同意,可無限期延任。
03、 會長有權委任任何社友負責以下工作:
a.
行政書記-負責本社之所有資料管理,編制賽程,建議讓分制度,整理賽果,社友聯絡工作以及編輯本社網頁。同時協助會長推廣社務以及申請入會新社友之資格審查提供會長批核。
b.
財務總監-負責收取社友之捐獻及管理本社基金。總管組織本社各項內、外活動,包括召開社友聚餐大會、涉外比賽等事務。
c.
監察總監-協助會長監督本社之賽事,財務及其他有關工作。有需要時暫時署理會長職權。
d.
場務總監-負責預訂場地以及有關工作。
04、 比賽日期及場地:除會長特別通知外,比賽將準時於每星期日上午七時卅分至十時在跑馬地黃泥涌室內運動場內舉行。
05、 準時出席:如有可能,各社友應盡量爭取於七時正到場進行練習。無論如何必須於七時卅分前進場以免阻延比賽進行。
06、 遲到或缺席:社友如有要事不能參加當日賽事或遲到時,應於賽前八小時通知另一社友。若未能及時通知而缺席或遲到,例需罰請全體社友飲茶一次以表歉意。此外會長有權要求遲到者繳納額外捐獻以儆效尤。屢犯者,可被革除會籍,並剝奪所有權利。
07、 比賽方式:自十五回合始,全體會員同意採用國際通用的雙打十一分制,五局中先取得三局勝利之隊伍為勝方。其他條款按國際乒聯的比賽規則。
08、 仲裁:賽事進行時,如有任何爭執,雙方應本著友誼第一之精神協商解決。若未能達成共識,概由會長作最後仲裁,比賽雙方不得異議。如會長為當事人或缺席時,則由監察總監負責仲裁。依次為財務總監、場務總監及行政秘書。
09、 捐獻:每場比賽之負方每位隊員需捐出十五港元以支付場地租金,購買乒乓球和有關用品以及本社其他經費。
10、 獎盃:聯賽完畢,取得最高得勝率之隊伍成為冠軍並獲頒發長青盃以資獎勵。冠軍隊可持有該盃直至新冠軍誕生。
11、 練球費用:未能參加正式比賽之社友,本社歡迎免費蒞場觀賽。經會長批准,該等社友每月只需捐獻一百港元,即可享用本社租用之場地並和其他社友進行練習。參加比賽之社友不需支付此費用。進行正式比賽者優先使用場地。
12、 暫停:比賽進行時,雙方球員必須謹守比賽禮節,保持君子風度,不得間接或直接故意騷擾或侮辱對方。對隊友更應處處體諒,不應出言埋怨指責或即場為隊友進行指導以致影響對方情緒及拖慢賽事。必要時,可要求對方暫停比賽一分鐘與隊友進行戰術檢討。按照國際乒聯規則,每場比賽每方只准要求一次暫停。
13、 體育精神:不論勝負,各隊友應緊記友誼第一;勝不驕,敗不餧。敗方更不應亂發脾氣,致令其他隊友感到不安。
14、 比賽要求:按照賽果分析表,首先由出賽較少的隊伍進行比賽,不得藉故推搪。每位參加比賽之社友,當天應儘量完成最少五場比賽。每次爭取與不同之隊友合作。
15、 賽果登記:每場賽事完畢,由勝方負責登記賽果並簽署作實,負方亦須即時簽署確認。過後不得作任何更改。
16、 賽果上網:所有賽果將於賽後兩天內整理上網。如有錯漏,各上網社友有權以電郵或電話向書記提出即行修改。
